We also review the patient’s history and risk factors. We coordinate testing quickly in partnership with facility staff and outside laboratories. Once the results are available, orders are issued to the provider (usually within twenty-four hours). This ensures there is no delay in treatment or planning.
Care plans may include supportive therapies, monitoring oxygen levels, managing fever and hydration, and coordinating with primary care or hospital systems (when advanced care is required). We provide check-ins as often as a patient’s condition requires.
As prevention is key to ongoing care, we educate our patients, their families, and any facility staff. This education helps to prevent transmission and lowers the chances of contracting COVID in the future.
